Flagelli is a series of drawings that tells about winds, vapours, roars, crashes, ripples, and light plays on the water surface.
They are the result of an insistent repetition of the same gesture, of the same line that becomes a trace, a trail, a course and that returns on itself through minimal variations, evolutions, and fraying.
They are almost sound waves, rhythmic exercises of inhalation and exhalation – graphic, free entertainments that while roaming, wandering and rambling, follow rotations, sinuous, biological, organic paths.
From the arboreal knot to the whirlwind of the storm, these scraps of paper tell of fluid forces and of writings as recurrent as they are analogous within Nature, folding as they advance and unfolding as they retreat.
Conceived as an affiliation between line and weather, they are an attempt to draw a correlation and interchangeability, a ‘contact tracing’ that is close to the regions of the air.
