Untitled (caterpillars)
, 2012Mdf panels, excavator caterpillars
100 x 100 x 60 each
Untitled consists of a sequence of three sculptures, obtained by twisting and rolling up three excavator caterpillars, that are first cut open and then rolled up and closed, leaving on the outside the opposite surface than the one commonly used.
They have the innate beauty and violence of an ancient talisman, of a necklace that was secretly made with bear fangs and is shown at the right time, held on one’s palm to give you a deeper feeling of its mysterious powers. As if, just by watching it, you could propitiate your way into a chunk of your life.
